WEEK 64: NEW COMPANION & TEMPLE TRIP

We didn't receive a summary email to publish this week, but we do know that Elder Pennington's new companion is Elder Anderson who was in his district in the Missionary Training Center in Provo, Utah.  They are super excited to be able to serve together as Zone Leaders.

There are also just a few times during their mission that they are able to attend a session at the temple and that was this week.  The closest temple is the Redlands Temple, and it's always a faith promoting and spiritual strengthening experience.

They apparently also had their first training meeting with the Zone's District Leaders.

WEEK 63: GOODBYE DUNN, HELLO ANDERSON

The reign of Elder Dunn and Elder Pennington as ZL's in the Menifee Zone in the Mapleton Ward has come to an end.  It was an awesome two transfers, and I definitely have learned a ton.

I am going to be with Elder Anderson.  He was in my district in the MTC so I am super excited to be comps with him!  We were able to have a ton of lessons this week, and we have one person on date for Jan 29th, which I am super excited about.  His name is Isaac and he is the son of Stefanie, who got baptized on New Year’s. That will complete the family minus the two sons that aren't really interested for right now.

It has been awesome being with Elder Dunn, he is a baller with the number 23 so how much cooler can that be?  It will be cool to be with Elder Anderson.  I am super excited to see what blessings we are going to receive working in this area.  Peace!

WEEK 62: TRAINING ON MISSIONARY EXCHANGES

WEEK 61: BAPTISMS ON NEW YEAR'S DAY

This past week was awesome!  We were able to start out the new year with the baptism of Stefanie and Skyelar!  It was amazing to see them enter into the waters of baptism!  I had the awesome opportunity to baptize Skyelar, and it was awesome!  They are a super cool family, and I am so thankful for the opportunity I have had to be a part of their conversion process!

This past week was also a super fun zone activity at the church on New Year’s eve!  We had a game night, and had card games, board games, ping pong, basketball, and mini basketball with two door hoops!  It was a ton of fun, and a great way to ring in the new year, and what better way to start it then on a Sunday!  We had an awesome church service, and an amazing dinner with the Soto family.  Love you all, and I hope everyone has a great start to the new year!!!!!!!!!!!

WEEK 60: LAST CHRISTMAS ON THE MISSION WAS WHITE

This Christmas was white… there was snow! On the mountains of Big Bear, Anza, and Idyllwild!!!

In Menifee though it was white with two Baptisms!!!  Trent is a 16 year old that was able to be baptized, and Travis is a 15 year old that got baptized on Christmas Eve!!!

They were both amazing services, and it was awesome!

Oh yeah I got to skype the fam so that was kosher.

Then we got to go caroling to members in the area with half the zone, and we were able to go to a woman in the hospital and carol to her!  It was awesome to spend our Christmas day going and visiting others!

This week was awesome, and it is super weird to think that next email will be in 2017!!!!! So I have decided I'm not gonna email anyone until next year ;)
