WEEK 71: FISHING ON P-DAY & NATALIE'S BAPTISM

Fishing in a "fish-less" lake, oh well!
We didn't receive a group letter this week so here is a summary of what we know.  Bro. Handal, a member of their ward, took them fishing.  Mission rules allow them to fish from the shore only.  To quote Elder Pennington, "It was fun, but we didn't catch anything.  I don't think there were even any fish in that lake."

Natalie's baptism
On Saturday, March 11, Elder Pennington attended another baptismal service.  He and his companion taught a sweet young girl named Natalie.  Her are a few pictures of her special day with the missionaries who taught her the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Below are some pictures that tell a little bit more about this week:

Always exciting to see a TN license plate !

Elder Pennington loves to go gangsta by wearing their
suit coats inside out - what a rebel!
Not sure who this is but Elder Pennington called him
"Baby Face" and said he came for a surprise visit.

WEEK 70: COVERING TWO WARDS & COMMUNITY SERVICE

This week was our first week covering both wards, and it went pretty well.  We are doing good with handling both wards, and there is a ton of work to be done in the La Piedra ward, so we have been working hard.  Other than that, there isn't very much that is new.

We talked to a guy on the street the other day and he is gonna get us in to a private lake and take us fishing!!!!!!!!!!  Super pumped for that, fishers of men!!!!!

Sorry that this is super short, but that’s all I got!!!!.

WEEK 69: BIRTHDAY FESTIVITIES

This week was Elder Pennington's birthday and his last one in the mission field.  I guess he had so much fun that he was too worn out to send us an email with all the details on his birthday festivities.  But once again, he does not disappoint with his pictures.  Enjoy!

WEEK 68: A BAPTISM AND A FILIPINO INVESTIGATOR

Isaac Navarro's Baptism Day

This past week was awesome, because we were able to see Isaac enter into the waters of Baptism. It was cool to be able to be apart of the teaching process with this family.

Our filipino investigator (Darf) left yesterday for the military. He said that he is going to look for our church there, so I hope he is able to find the gospel and reaches out to God as he goes through basics for the next 6 months.

We are in yet another building stage right now, so hopefully we will be able to pick it up and find the people that the Lord has prepared for us in this area. We have transfer calls this Saturday on my birthday!  It is pretty funny how amped up people get around this time, and it is prolly because the Zone Leaders are the ones that know what the next six weeks are going to be like for these peoples lives. It is fun to mess with people and give them fake clues or riddles on where they are going. That's about all, love y'all.

WEEK 67: TEACHING AND TRAINING

The past week has been good.  We were able to have ZDM, which is a training meeting where Elder Anderson and I give trainings to our zone from what we received at MLC.

We have had a drop in our teaching pool so we are in a finding mode right now.  Things are still going good though and our faith is awesome.

The new missionary schedule they came out with has allowed a lot of missionaries to catch up on much needed sleep so that has been super nice.

We have a Multi zone conference this Wednesday, and we are meeting in a place called Lake Elsinore with their zone and Elder Anderson and I were chosen to give a 20 min training on companionship inventory so that will be pretty sweet!!!!

We should be having a baptism for a 9 year old Isaac.  He is a stud and is the son of Stefanie and brother of Skye that got baptized on New Years day! Super excited for that.

Other than that we are still out trying to find the people that are being prepared for us!!! Hope all is well back in the 901!!!

Love,

WEEK 66: MAKING GREAT LIFELONG FRIENDS

We didn't receive an email this week, but Elder Pennington more than made up for it with a ton of pictures of all the friends he is making on his mission.  Enjoy!

He said that Elder Dyer hooked him up with these shoes!
